The Liberty Theatre was established as a live theatre and vaudeville venue. The theatre was sold and renamed ther Missoula Theatre in 1914. The venue was again sold and renamed the Liberty Theatre by the new owners, Northwest Theater Company, in 1922. At this time motion picture presentations began.
